And we're home!

Well, we are back after a whirlwind trip to SA. We left Thurs after work and hit the ground running Friday morning. We met with the cake lady, tasted cake and picked out designs. We then went to pick out linens for the reception. I couldn't decide on the sashes for the chairs, so they are bringing in 2 colors and I will pick the next time I am in town (the 2 colors are silver organza and plum organza.....the silver I am worried will look gray and the plum is a lighter purple b/c it is sheer organza). We then met with the wedding coordinator and finalized some of the timeline for the reception and such.

After all that, Devlon escaped with my Dad to Academy and Mom and I went shopping. She found her dress for the wedding and it is VERY pretty! We found a fun thing for the sign-in table at the reception and some things for my bridesmaids. Then, Elizabeth did a trial run on my hair and we picked a hairstyle for the big day. The night ended with dinner at Water Street Oyster Bar.........we got to see the room for the rehearsal dinner and talked with the banquet coordinator. Meemaw and Nana joined us for dinner and it was yummy!

Sat we got up, headed to Austin and met with our Pastor for 2 1/2 hours. He's great and we are so excited for him to marry us. He really enjoyed our "story" and how we got to this upcoming wedding. We stopped in Round Rock to visit briefly with my friends Jeff & Michelle and got back into town about 8pm on Saturday.

This morning, we got up and visited a Methodist church in our neighborhood. Yep, you read that right! It's a small church but everyone was very welcoming. Lunch with Devlon's parents and Granddaddy and we have been painting, rearranging furniture (Mom bought us a great new coffee table!), and unpacking.

Back to work tomorrow.......UGH!

Now that was a whirlwind trip. I got to visit with the pastor who is doing the wedding last Wed. night. We grew up together and are very good friends. He is indeed excited about being a part of this wedding, and we are so glad he will be able to perform the wedding. Having great friends, and great family is the best part of life.
Love you both.
